Grassroots Gymnastics has enacted updated policies in accordance with CDC and DHEC guidelines in response to Covid-19, ensuring parents that health and safety is the gym’s main priority. These policies detail health and safety precautions, drop-off, and pick-up procedures. The updated policies are as follows:
Current COVID Policies
Masks are optional at this time.
Coaches will ask each child to wash their hands upon arrival.
We ask that all recreational students wear masks (attached to a lanyard is preferred for easy removal during water breaks)
In order to minimize the crowd in our lobby, we ask that you do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to class time. First-time members and trial classes may arrive 10 minutes prior to class start time.
You are not required to stay for the entirety of your student's class.
We encourage parents to drop off and pick up and/or wait inside of their car to limit exposure. If you would like to remain outside of the lobby, please notify the front desk and/or the coach so we can safely escort your student to you after class.
Response to Ill Child
2022 Make-Up Policy
If it appears that a child is ill, meaning excessive congestion and runny nose, and/or persistent coughing, that child’s Coach will immediately notify the Manager on Duty. The manager will then bring the child to their parent or if the parent is not present the manager will sit with the child away from the others while we get a hold of the parents.
If a child has a fever they will be asked to come back after 7 days. (Please note if the child has been exposed to the coronavirus within the same household, the child MUST quarantine for 14 days as recommended by the CDC.)
We will notify all families immediately if there is an exposure in your Childs class.
If your child is not allowed to attend school, they are also not allowed to attend their gymnastics class. Please see make-up policy below.
Makeup tokens are created after a missed class and can be redeemed in the Customer Portal to attend an additional class.
Please let us know BEFORE your child misses a class in order to get the token in your account. Letting us know before your child misses a class allows us to create more makeup opportunities for everyone! The Customer Portal will allow you to register for makeup classes that are age/level appropriate up to 60 days after your missed class. Feel free to email email@example.com or stop by the front desk to let us know about a future absence. If you do not inform us of your absence before it happens, a make-up token will not be created in your account.
